What Is PRF?
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is a material rich in platelets and fibrin, prepared by processing a sample of your blood in a centrifuge using a specific protocol. Because it comes from your own blood, it is known as an autologous biomaterial.
Centrifugation separates the blood components to produce a fibrin-rich structure. Its cellular components and growth factors can be used to support natural tissue healing in a range of oral surgical procedures.
